Lake Powell

So this past week I have been lucky enough to use the last of my vacation days to go to Lake Powell with my family. Nikki flew in from California and Drew and his girlfriend Tiffany came too. It was a bummer that Kent couldn't come because he had 2 jobs this week that he couldn't skip out of. But this year we finally got our seadoo fixed so we were able to take it down and have a blast with it. Lets just say it is a 1995 seadoo and stopped working in 2001 with what we thought was a seized engine but now 7 years later we fixed it and had so much fun! We didn't get to wakeboard as much as we wanted because it was pretty rough out there but we did a ton of wake surfing and did the tube one day. I will post some picture later of all the good times!

Weekend in Ogden

This last weekend I made a trip up to Ogden to stay at Kent's mom's house for the weekend. Kent usually comes down to Provo and stays at my parents house but they were out of town to Arizona and it was my turn to go up there. It was a really busy weekend up in Ogden. On Saturday, Kent's cousin Jake got married in the Salt Lake Temple. We had to get up super early because their sealing was the first one of the day. Michelle (the bride) looked nice and Jake looked handsome. After taking pictures with the family, we went over to the Little America hotel and had a brunch buffet. The food was delicious! We were all starving because we woke up so early that we didn't have time to eat breakfast before we left. Then the bride and groom took a long time to take their pictures and we had to wait for them. After brunch we got to rest up before the reception that night. The reception was nice. Instead of food, they had a huge candy bar. Chocolate fountains and any type of candy you could imagine was there. Its not my style but it was different and very fun.

On Sunday, Kent's brother Jim got the Melchizedek Priesthood. It was fun to be there with all of his family and then afterwards we had a huge dinner. Roast, salad and potatoes. Can't go wrong with that!! And Kent's birthday was on Thursday so we all celebrated with a yummy cake!

First Timer

Well it is official, I have a blog. I never thought that I would want one until all of my friends and some of my family started having them. It has been so fun for me to come online and see what is going on with people in their lives and so i wanted to give that opportunity to everyone else. But where to start? Well I am having a blast working for my uncle Steve's company Sandman Studios. I am the office manager but I am basically Steve's assisant. The company does visual effect and animation for movies as well as interactive media. I am taking the summer off from school which has been really nice but fall semester starts in the end of August so it is coming up soon.

Today is two very important peoples birthdays. First it is my sister Nikki's birthday. She is really lucky because she is going to celebrate at Disneyland. Second is my boyfriend Kent's birthday. He is not as lucky as Nikki because he has to work tonight at UPS. We won't be able to celebrate tonight but I am headed up to Ogden tomorrow to stay the weekend up at his mom's house.

Two weekends ago, I went camping with Kent's family up in Left Hand which is up the Bingham canyon. (Let's just say it is really far north). Here are some of the pictures of our weekend.
